Product Safety and Care Tips
Candle Care & Safety
- Always place candles on a stable, heat‑resistant, non‑flammable surface - avoid wood, plastic, vinyl, or other delicate materials.
- Keep candles away from curtains, bedding, and anything else that could catch fire.
- Keep candles out of reach of children and pets, and somewhere they cannot be easily knocked over.
- Avoid drafts. Keep candles away from open windows, fans, and vents to reduce uneven burning.
- Never leave candles burning unattended.
- Never burn any candle for more than four hours at a time.
- Always extinguish them before leaving the room, the house or when going to sleep.
- Where possible, use a candle ‘snuffer’ to extinguish the flame, or blow it out gently to minimise hot wax and ember splatter.
- Trim the wick to around 4 mm before each burn to help prevent high flames, sooting, smoking, and flickering. If the flame becomes too high or smokes, extinguish the candle and trim the wick before relighting.
- Never leave wick trimmings, matches, or any other debris in the wax pool.
- Allow wax to cool and fully harden before moving or disposing of the candle.
- Follow all safety and usage instructions provided on the product label (located underneath the candle vessel).
Wax Melter Care & Safety
- Always place the wax melter on a stable, heat‑resistant, non‑flammable surface. Avoid wood, plastic, vinyl, or other delicate materials.
- Keep wax melters away from curtains, bedding, and anything else that could catch fire and out of reach of children and pets, and somewhere it cannot be easily knocked over.
- Never leave a wax melters burning unattended. Always extinguish them before leaving the room, the house or when going to sleep.
- Never put your finger into the melted wax pool.
- Allow the melted wax to cool and fully harden before moving the wax melter, or disposing of the tealight or wax.
- Gently remove any hardened wax from the top of your wax melter using a non sharp knife and wipe clean with some damp kitchen roll before inserting a new wax melt to burn.
Reed Diffuser Wax Care & Safety
- Place your reed diffuser on a stable, level surface, away from direct sunlight, heat sources, and open flames.
- Use only in well‑ventilated areas and avoid placing diffusers directly on painted, polished, or delicate surfaces without a protective mat or coaster.
- Keep diffusers out of reach of children and pets and avoid placing them where they can be easily knocked over.
- To refresh the fragrance, carefully flip the reeds on a weekly basis, over a sink or protected surface, then wipe any spills away immediately.
- Always wash hands with warm soapy water after handling reeds.
- Avoid contact with skin, eyes, and surfaces; fragrance oil may cause staining or irritation.
- Another important tip is to gently ‘swirl’ the contents of the diffuser every week to encourage the diffuser oil and base to remix and rebind. This makes a big difference.
- Do not ingest the liquid and do not light the reeds. If swallowed, seek medical advice immediately and show the product label.
- Follow all usage and safety instructions on the product label (located underneath the diffuser vessel) for peace of mind.
